Show Notes
It’s about setting expectations and meeting them.
As we always say, it ain’t about plumbing but about the experience. As a business owner, you’re doing more than fixing the customer’s plumbing problems, you’re getting their day back. So don’t worry about how much you’re charging and worry, instead, about the little things. because it won’t matter how cheap your service is if the customer isn’t happy by the end of your visit. Set their expectations high, and meet them.
No excuses
Making it in business isn’t for the weak. You have to want it, and there’s no room for excuses–it’s really all about your mindset. Don’t go out there expecting things to just magically work out. You first gotta put in the work to make things work.
Success can happen anywhere, at any time, under any circumstances. So don’t start making excuses for yourself, saying, “oh no, there’s no market, I got no money, etc.” Go out there, and create your market. Find your way. It is possible, and you can do it.
The best-known beats the best
Content is king, and social media can be your kingdom. So you gotta get out there and make an image for yourself and put yourself out there. Instead of spending thousands of money on paid ads or whatever, just get intentional about your content.
Knowing your target audience is half the work. When you know your customer and know who you’re selling to, then you’ve already made it.
It doesn’t matter how good you are if you’re not taking the right steps. Plan for success, maintain and exceed expectations if you can, and charge accordingly. Charging the right amount of money won’t matter to people or won’t make your service too expensive if the outcome is worth it. So get your brand out there, put in the work, and watch as things work out.
